Welcome to Travel Family Tribe!

We are a family that loves to go on adventures, camping, hiking, and monkeying around in the outdoors. We’ve been to Yellowstone yearly for the last 14 years. We go to Arches at least every other year and enjoy finding petroglyphs, dinosaur tracks, rocks, and trails we’ve never traveled.

We created this blog to encourage other families to come outside and enjoy the beauty, healing, and goodness of the great outdoors. And also as a little nudge to get us out more too! We found that our kids do so much better outside. And their favorite toys are sticks, rocks, and dirt! They play together with more imagination and adventure and the stress level drops for us all. We enjoy cooking over the fire and learning how to make tin foil dinners and burnt marshmallows.

These years with our kids are precious and fleeting, and we have found when we take time to focus on our family and get away from the house for a day or two, everything just is better. We play better, work better, and get along better.

We can offer a few guides for places we’ve been to and make it easier for you to go adventuring with your family. Knowing the planning, packing, and effort it takes to get the family ready, we wanted to just make it a little easier and help pave the way to make this all work. Our newsletter, which we send out a few times a year is filled with ideas and deals to make traveling more affordable and do-able.
